Hi, I'm Dave Barrett...
This
is my family: my wife Karen and our sons Jake and Luke. I moved
to Reno in 1973 and graduated from Reno High School and the University
of Nevada, Reno. During college, I was a wilderness ranger with the
Forest Service in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area of Idaho.
After earning my bachelor's degree in Industrial Arts Education,
I taught woodshop in a local middle school. Later, I managed
the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch, a very nice guest ranch north of Sun Valley,
Idaho. After several years at the ranch, and at the invitation
of my uncle who is a large commercial and residential developer in Kansas,
I joined him to learn the building trade. Upon returning to Reno,
I started my own construction business, Dave Barrett, Builder. 
We have the good fortune
of living in one of the greatest locations on earth. Reno gives us
access to many enjoyable outdoor activities. I am sure you will want
to take advantage of all the activities Northern Nevada has to offer.
