Scholarships

The Carson City 4-H Guide Dog Club believes in encouraging the educational aspirations of our young members.

We recognize that by raising a guide dog puppy our young people are making a significant difference in the lives of others. In turn, all money donated to our club becomes part of our scholarship account.

Just as a guide dog gives a blind person independence and mobility, we recognize that higher education will give our young raisers the opportunity to become independent and productive citizens. The Carson City 4-H guide dog scholarship fund awards a $500 educational savings bond to every young member who raises a guide dog graduate. To date, more than twelve scholarships have been presented.
